Global Mentorship Opportunity

One Heart Source is currently accepting applications for our 2018 Experiential Learning Programs in South Africa. They are offering a variety of 1, 2, and 4-week experiential learning programs this summer.

As an OHS Global Mentor you will:

  • Gain international experience for graduate school and employment.
  • Develop skills in international communication, mentorship, and community outreach.
  • Mentor students to achieve academic growth and cultivate lasting relationships.
  • Immerse yourself in local communities and broaden your global perspective.
  • Focus on examining Education/Social Work, Youth Empowerment, or Health Innovation within the context of South Africa.
  • Collaborate with groups of university students from around the world.

Field Ecology Course Offered Through USD

Elephants and Mount Kenya

Term: Summer

Start Date: May 13, 2018

End Date: May 28, 2018

This program emphasizes the development of hypotheses and implementation of ecological research. You will obtain practical experience with sampling methodologies during a major field trip. In addition, a research project will promote hypothesis conception, further research techniques, data analysis, presentation, and discussion skills.

KEI Launches Global Health in Ecuador for Summer 2018

KEI Abroad is proud to announce the launching of a new Global Health in Ecuador academic concentration starting in Summer 2018 on KEI Guayaquil, Ecuador Program. This academic concentration has been developed in partnership with the medical schools in West Virginia (Marshall University, West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and West Virginia University), and will be offered each summer during Session I (month of June).

This program has been designed for students studying a variety of health science professions, including nursing, pre-medicine and public health. Students also have the option of extending for a 2nd month and completing a 3-credit clinical or public health internship.
